Amy Veltman is a New York City comedian, actor, and writer who performs and hosts comedy shows and fundraisers across the country. She’s appeared at the Charm City Comedy Festival, The Ladies of Laughter competition, The Detroit Women in Comedy Festival, and at comedy clubs and bars throughout NYC, New Jersey, and Connecticut. For years, she co-produced the monthly show AP Comedy at West Side Comedy Club.
She’s currently touring her award-winning, one-woman show PSA: PELVIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT, a comedic, autobiographical, musical romp through the pelvic floor to a place free(er) from shame. Winner of “Best Musical Comedy” at United Solo for performances Off-Broadway in New York City. Best of Fest 2024 at Solofest, the largest festival dedicated to solo theatre on the West Coast.
As an actor, Amy appears as a momentary blip on HBO’s SUCCESSION, less momentarily in CHUTNEY POPCORN (the first feature of LATE NIGHT director Nisha Ganatra), and has written, directed, and/or acted in several short films, including most recently BURYING BUBBY, in which she acts alongside Robert Smigel.
Amy is the producer and co-host of podcast, 2 Moms on The Couch, which, like her comedy, features her edgy take on motherhood, marriage, and being an outsider in an insider’s world.
In addition, Amy spent nearly a decade as a corporate consultant and facilitator for the pioneering consultancy On Your Feet. She presented in venues from Lincoln Center to New York’s City Center, designing and facilitating corporate events and trainings for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Disney, Nike, NBC, and McKinsey all over the USA, Asia, and in Mexico (in Spanish).
Prior to her consulting work with On Your Feet, she worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood, selling a pitch and screenplay for a teen musical comedy to Disney to be directed by Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (ROCK OF AGES).
Amy has two kids in college, 18 and 21, and a husband who’s a psychiatrist. She thanks them for the endless fount of material they provide.
